A Different Approach

When is the best time to give retirement advice to employees?
Well, conventional wisdom has it that no time is too soon, and ideally we try to encourage individuals to start to think about retirement provision when they’re still in their twenties, or sooner if we can track down that rare, forward-thinking animal. But when it comes to seminars, traditionally they have been offered to employees who are within 18-12 months of retirement, just about giving them time to make last-minute changes before the big event.
At Lansdown Place we believe that the pre-retirement information we offer should be available at least FIVE YEARS prior to an individual’s natural retirement date, whether or not they intend to actually stop working. The decision to continue working often depends on one’s financial situation and we feel that the earlier this information is available, the greater the range of choices.
So our Pre-retirement courses are just that: courses designed to give an individual as much time as necessary to make those small adjustments prior to taking one of the biggest steps in their lives.
