TIPs allow access to different types of investments and help to provide diversification for pension clients. A TIP is an investment vehicle used by Trustees of Registered Occupational Pension Schemes, such as SSAS and Self-Invested Personal Pensions. For example, a TIP may provide access to investments that are not available through the main occupational scheme.
A TIP can also offer access to investments with growth potential as an alternative to holding large sums in cash deposits, which in the current climate offer limited growth potential.
